Hull CEC Permaculture Project

Project type

Environmental

Date

January 2023

The Hull CEC at the Creative & Cultural Community Hub is starting to take shape. Any info leaflets about your sustainability project can be dropped off for everyone to pick up. Seeds swap, book swap, and makeup recycling drop off are all at the front as you come in to see the Protest Exhibition by @shutterbugbob70.

The organic fruit and vegetables from our Hull CEC Permaculture Project will also be in this area when it’s all grown 🍎🍓🥦

Our CEC Permaculture Project is a partnership with PATT (Plant a Tree Today) Foundation, Pan Galactic (Fund Green Tech) & Koru (Klimate Konnect), and part of the Climate Emergency Centre Network.

Our lovely growing space is just outside Preston East Riding on the PATT site and is home to our fruit trees and lovely organic plant life, plus as many members of the local wildlife family as we can encourage to join us. The space is intended to provide food for the community which we can make available in the Creative & Cultural Community Hub CEC space, and provide a home to as much biodiversity as possible including bees that will produce honey thanks to the Dare To Bee team who have a hive for us. Dare To Bee honey is also available in the C&C Hub.

The land is looked after by volunteers from Creative & Cultural and Pan Galactic with advice and support from PATT & Koru, and part of our pledged action in the Hull Food Charter.
