Long Description:

If you’re a skateboarder, roller skater, inline skater, longboarder or just want to have a feel of adventure in life, there will be people to help you get started and you’re never too old to give it a go. There will be plenty of older skaters there enjoying it for their mental and physical health.

Skateboarding and roller skating can be dangerous especially when starting out as a beginner, so please be aware you are responsible for your safety. Skate upon Hull will be offering helmets, knee pads and elbow pads for those that want to use them, but don’t have their own. This will not prevent injury but will reduce the chances of getting hurt if you fall, and we all do. Helmets are a good idea whatever your skill level, especially if you are learning a new trick.

This FREE skate session is 5pm until 10pm on Tuesday 31st October…yes…Halloween which means we encourage people to dress up, but it is optional and think about yours and others safety when you choose your outfit.

Our aim is to grow the active community, to have fun and enjoy the mental, physical and environmental benefits of being active, whilst also enjoying the social benefits of skating. The majority of skaters are very friendly and willing to give advice if needed.

Skate upon hull does offer cold drinks that can be purchased but you are also welcome to bring your own drinks providing they are non alcoholic. If you are under the age of 18 please have your parents or guardians permission, as skating can be dangerous as stated above.

A massive thanks to Skate upon Hull, The Creative & Cultural Organisation, the Humber Eco Fest Team and Active Humber for making this possible!
